Now having one year of high school almost behind me, I have learned and
changed a lot. This year has been like no other; there is such a big
difference between high school and middle school, so I have had much to
adjust to. I now have to wake up at 5:00 every morning for a church class
I'm taking, and I've got way more homework, so this year has also been one
of the toughest ever. But, I made it through with a 4.0, and it's probably
the hardest I've ever had to work for it.
Although the work has been tougher and I don't have quite as much time to
relax, I've decided that I prefer high school over any other level. We
experience much more freedoms and are given more options to prepare for our
future. We can take classes about things that actually want to learn about
rather than taking all the same stuff ever year.
This year has been great inside and outside of school. I've discovered new
talents and interests, and improved greatly in other areas. Hopefully, I'll
be able to follow up this good year with three even better ones.
